She is of Polish and Greek ancestry and is the eldest daughter of Alice and John Stratigeas.
She attended Bayview Secondary School, the same as her eventual husband, Ron Fisico. After her graduation, she enrolled at York University where she earned a degree in Biology and Kinesiology.
While in college, she had an athletic flair, involving herself with soccer and field hockey. Sometimes while working as a receptionist at a local gym, she was approached by the publisher of MuscleMag International to do a shoot.

Being a fangirl of Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan, Trish Stratus defined her career in wrestling after the two legends. Her fitness modeling pictures however caught the attention of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).
After a few negotiations, she was signed to the company. She got trained by Ron Hutchinson. Her first appearance in the ring was on the March 19, 2000, episode of Sunday Night Heat. From then on, it was achievement after achievement!

Since her first appearance as a professional wrestler, she has played in 272 matches. She retired in 2011. Stratus then became a trainer for WWE Tough Enough.
