The story goes like this. Mario McNeill, a drug addict and sexual predator set out to meet Antoinette Davis, the sister to the woman he dated before, Brenda Davis. So, he got to Antoinette’s place and demanded that she paid the $200 debt she was owing him or have sex with him. It was reported that Mario had lent Antoinette $200 to pay for a hotel room and buy food for her children.
But Antoinette could not pay back and Mario took the little girl Shaniya along with him. Reports say that Antoinette did not make any attempt to stop him from taking her 5-year-old. She later confessed to the court that she actually gave him her daughter to cover $200. Sad!

It took some months for Bradley Lockhart, a military veteran to realize that he had fathered Shaniya Davis. In 2007, Lockhart bought a house and was given primary custody of his daughter after Antoinette had her finances in a mess. After further probing, he later revealed that he did actually pick the girl up but that was after he was prompted by her aunt. Of course, all of these stories were made up. He would later retract his statement after Shaniya was found under a large log on an overgrown kudzu patch.
It took several hours to remove the little girl who was already dead as the police didn’t want to tamper with evidence. When pictures of her dead body were shown to the jurors, one of them cried. Shaniya’s half-sister who was also in the courtroom couldn’t contain her sadness as she burst into tears.
Shaniya Davis Story: Her Killer Was Sentenced To Death
After a thorough examination, it was found that Shaniya was sexually abused. Mario consistently said he didn’t know about it giving a weak defense. It didn’t take too long for the judge to sentence him to death after he was found guilty of murder, human trafficking, sexual servitude, kidnapping, and indecent liberties with a child. Shaniya’s mother, on the other hand, was sentenced to a minimum of 17.5 years for charges that included felony child abuse, second-degree murder, and conspiracy to commit a sex offense.
