Patricia Anne Stratigeas, also known as Trish Stratus, is a Canadian fitness expert, a fitness model, and a professional wrestler. Stratigeas was born in Toronto, Canada, on December 18, 1975. Growing up, she had always been a fan of wrestling and had it at the back of her mind to indulge in it someday.
She is of Polish and Greek ancestry and is the eldest daughter of Alice and John Stratigeas.
She attended Bayview Secondary School, the same as her eventual husband, Ron Fisico. After her graduation, she enrolled at York University where she earned a degree in Biology and Kinesiology.
While in college, she had an athletic flair, involving herself with soccer and field hockey. Sometimes while working as a receptionist at a local gym, she was approached by the publisher of MuscleMag International to do a shoot.
Later in 1998, she appeared on the cover of the magazine. This brought her so much fame as other magazines scurried to have her on their magazines.
Stratus’ Wrestling Career
Being a fangirl of Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan, Trish Stratus defined her career in wrestling after the two legends. Her fitness modeling pictures however caught the attention of the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).
After a few negotiations, she was signed to the company. She got trained by Ron Hutchinson. Her first appearance in the ring was on the March 19, 2000, episode of Sunday Night Heat. From then on, it was achievement after achievement!
In 2001, she emerged champion at the Survivors Series where she won her first WWF Women’s Championship. She would go on to win it two more times between 2001-2003.
Stratus won several awards during her time as a professional wrestler including Guinness World Records; Most WWE Women’s Championship (6 times), WWE Hall of Fame (Class of 2013), Babe of the Year ( 2001-2003), Diva of the Decade (2003), Iron Mike Mazurki Award (2016), Ranked number 1 of the top 50 Greatest WWE Female Superstar of all time, Pro Wrestling Illustrated Woman of the Year, (2002, 2003, 2005, 2006) among many awards.
Since her first appearance as a professional wrestler, she has played in 272 matches. She retired in 2011. Stratus then became a trainer for WWE Tough Enough.

Both attended the same high school and have fallen in love since then. After being the girlfriend of Ron Fisico for fourteen years, they married on September 30, 2006. The wedding ceremony was adorned with the presence of many WWE superstars. The frenzy about their marriage was top-notch as some of the biggest magazines covered the event.
One interesting fact however that amused fans is, after their marriage, the couple put their honeymoon on hold because Trish was needed to shoot for Armed & Famous, a VH1 TV series about celebrities.
